Jeffrey Sharkey Gets Out GroupHome & OilCan Before Going to Google

Android Developer Challenge winner Jeffrey Sharkey released 2 more Android applications before he starts his new career at Google.

These Android apps are called GroupHome & OilCan.

Jeffrey Sharkey won not only $250,000 with his CompareEverywhere (formerly called Scan), the amazing barcode application, but this Montana State University Master of Computer Science graduate scored a job at Google working on Android starting this week.

Jeffrey’s two new Android applications released today are:

GroupHome

  • Organizes all your Android applications neatly together
  • Automatically groups applications together using the same category system as in the Android Market
  • Long Press on applications to Delete
  • Long Press on applications to also get more Details
  • Click here to install the APK

OilCan

  • Android version of Greasemonkey
  • Customize any website by inserting JavaScript to change the website
  • Use Intents to call other Android applications
  • You can install your own scripts by loading from the SD card, or by browsing to them
  • Scripts must have the extension “.user.js” to be recognized
  • Click Here to install the APK
