How to Make Over $10,000 a day with Android Applications – A Farting Bejeweled Diamond

Posted on Feb 24, 2009 by Michael Martin PMP in Applications, Competitors | 8 Comments

Using the iPhone and its App Store as a guide you reach the logical conclusion that to make the most money selling Android applications is to sell a farting Bejeweled diamond.

You would think some great utilitarian application or at the very least an addictive game would make the most money in the mobile application market, but recent history proves otherwise.

Joel Comm has made approximately $10,000 a day after Apple’s cut with his iFart Mobile application selling at only 99 cents – up to nearly $30,000 on Christmas Day alone according to VentureBeat.

Joel is a great Internet marketer as he has proven in the past how to make money online so this is just a recent affirmation of his skill in spotting how to make money online.

This is such a cash cow it has even prodded him to go to court over FART TERMINOLOGY!

Joel is suing Air-O-Matic in front of a Federal judge in Colorado to rule over if “pull my finger” is a common phrase that cannot be trademarked.

If it goes to court or not is debatable, but is another smart Internet PR move that undoubtably leads to selling more iFarts.

To take even this a step further there was the “I Am Rich” app for the iPhone selling for $1000, which was just a ruby on the screen – Amazingly there were at least 8 sales!

Now in the Android Market for the maximum price allowed of $200 is the “I Am Richer” application which for pure originality is a blue diamond rather than a red ruby.

You COULD create something that actually has some value like Steve Demeter did with Trism which is similar to puzzle game, Bejeweledthis netted him a quarter million in just 2 months!

So the logical conclusion is if you combine a high price point with a high volume of interest and some usefulness you discover people really want a farting diamond on their phone that they can play Bejeweled with.

Who will produce and sell this for Android?!?!?

Haha.. I’m still waiting on a crazy Android app which has made millions by pure marketing genius. Guess we’ll see some in the coming days.

It’s 1 week in and the app market has been an absolute disappointment. Quality of apps = negative. Quantity of apps = negative. Price of apps = negative.

Google definitely is making me wish I had gone the iPhone route and making me save my money to purchase the next iPhone over the next G phone.

    @djsubxero,

The Android Market will get the same price correction as the App Store – http://www.businessinsider.com/iphone-app-prices-tanking-2009-2

I hear the G2 just came out in Singapore.

    http://www.androidhere.com/ANDROID-NEWS/Technology/200902/20-Android-phone-may-remain-a-dream-for-some_552.html

I must say, that was fast. Its allowing how they criticize the G1 by saying the G2 “at least looks much better and fits in your pocket”. for god sakes, the sidekick LX never had that many negative comments and it is twice the size of the G1.

By the way, till now i cant see paid apps in the market, anyone know whats up with that?

I want to develop for a mobile platform. Google: why would I develop for the Android when I can make money with the iPhone?

Because Android costs only $25 for a limitless world of opprotunities. The Android phones have much more possibilities in Live Wallpapers and 3D graphics.

DevGuy, because Apple won't let you even develop an app unless you buy a mac!
