Mr Canadian Spy ;)

Yes the "Google Phone/Tablet" will have a Beta sticker but you can take it off after 3 years like most other Google services.

I believe service providers are most out of the loop on Android while also the least wanted bedfellow of Google in particular.

Verizon is most likely eying increased subscriber share from the one two punch of Android now and the iPhone in 2010 - IMHO.

The manufacturers themselves would have the most heads up so they would be the ones trying to gouge the service providers for as much as they can - hence the Motorola CLIQ inexcusably being well over $100 to subscribers.

I wonder if Verizon upping the cost of their termination fee goes with this as well? Maybe Google gave Verizon a heads up and they wanted to lock in as many smartphone users as they could?
