T-Mobile is projecting to launch its 3G wireless network nationwide on October 1st, 2008 according to CNET.
This launch leads to speculation that the first gPhone using Google Android software, HTC’s Dream Phone, would become available in tandem and possibly offered for free from T-Mobile as a cross promotion with subscribing to the 3G service plan.
The Dream Phone from HTC is confirmed to come out in late 2008 & reported to have the following:
T-Mobile along with Sprint Nextel are the only carriers confirmed to work with Android enabled phones as AT&T & Verizon declined. AT&T being the only carrier for the iPhone.
Starting in May 2008 T-Mobile only offered 3G wireless in New York City, but in October 2008 it will be expanded to Atlanta, Austin, Birmingham, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, Minneapolis, Long Island, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, and Washington, D.C.
Is the new Dream phone going to be available in columbus, ohio? And how much will it cost me?
I would imagine it would be come by the end of November this year.
HTC is to provide me a Dream phone to review once available and I can confirm for you its availability in Columbus at that time.
