I am curious if they will give the American Hero a different designation or at least version number – good point!

Good question about the LG ETNA being the same as the reported LG EVE – my initial reaction is no, but it very well could be.

I saw sprint hero's announcement last week. i almost think it warrant as a different phone from european hero. Wondering if LG Etna another name for LG GW620 Eve? I just saw a screenshot of etna with android screen.
