Android Users Share iPhone User Trending

As an aside from my rants on the conduct of Apple, the users of  Android are now sharing the usage trending of those of the iPhone as both sets of users greatly increased their mobile social media use.

The reasoning perhaps to why Android follows a similar usage path as the iPhone may be that it is now more mainstream thanks to the Verizon Droid advertising push last year and Google itself debuting the Nexus One.

Although it seems Google gives away more N1s for free at conferences than it sells.

Google Apple 6 Month Rule on Touching

Six months ago Eric Schmidt the CEO of Google resigned from the board of directors at Apple at the beginning of August 2009 so was a 6 month rule enacted?

In the Urban Dictionary after six months without sex, a man may have sex with anyone he see’s fit so was this applied in regard to multitouch on Android after Eric has gone approximately 6 months without “inter-coursing” with Apple?

The actual resignation announcement came on August 3rd, 2009 but I agree with Sean Riley at AndroidandMe the actual resignation itself may have occurred the day before which would be exactly 6 months prior to the February 2nd, 2010 pinch to zoom availability announcement for the Nexus One.

iPad is a Fat Elvis iPhone

It was reported to be the most important thing ever done by Steve Jobs & Apple so when the iPad was officially revealed it was like a Fat Elvis took the stage.

I was equally dismissive of the Nexus One being branded a Google phone along with being called a Super Phone, but that was more of a coming out event rather than a legend taking the stage to one up himself.

The iPhone, like Elvis, was indeed revolutionary in breaking down barriers and setting new standards which has to be admitted by all, regardless if you like either’s “music”.

The GooglePhone Nexus One Was a Google Android Misstep

I believe the creation of a defacto branded Google Phone with the Nexus One was a misstep both for Android & Google itself.

I have been an early supporter of Android as the young upstart open mobile platform versus the Apple iPhone with Android being backed by major mobile players in the Open Handset Alliance, principally Google.

I just want to be sure this leader of the mobile rebel alliance does not become Darth Vader or to another extreme an Edsel.

Mobile Market Impact by Android & Caffeine

WebProNews posted the interview I did on Android as well its relation to SEO with the upcoming Google Caffeine architecture & algorithm update.

This was done during the 2009 PubCon Classic at The Pub in the Las Vegas Monte Carlo resort & casino to mark the end of the week-long PubCon conference in November.

Two of the top three WebProNews interviews by views for 2009 centered on Android including my declaration of an iPhone Android War back at SMX Advanced in Seattle this past June.
